Septic Tank Pumping in Ascension Parish

When you need a pump-out, you usually need it now. Our pump truck runs every working day across Ascension and Livingston Parishes, and we treat your yard like our own: lids uncovered carefully, the tank checked while it is open, and everything closed up properly.

A standard 750-gallon treatment plant pump-out is $400. Delta tanks are $450, since there is more work in getting the solids out, and older conventional 500-gallon tanks without an aerator run around $300. Unusual tanks are quoted up front, not discovered on the invoice.

How often a tank actually needs pumping

There is no single interval that fits every house. How fast a tank fills depends on how many people live there, the tank size, and how much water the household runs. A tank behind a two-person household behaves nothing like the same tank behind a family of six.

The point of pumping on a sensible schedule is to get solids out before they carry over into the discharge side of the system. That carry-over is what turns routine maintenance into an expensive repair.

Signs you are overdue

  • Drains through the whole house running slow at the same time
  • Gurgling in the plumbing when a tub or washing machine drains
  • Sewage smell in the yard, or near the tank
  • Wet, spongy ground or standing water over the system
  • Sewage backing up into the lowest drains in the house

While the tank is open

A pump-out is also the best moment to look at the parts of the system nobody sees. On treatment plants we check that the aerator is doing its job, give the system a visual once-over, and tell you straight what we found: what is fine, what needs attention, and what can wait.
